This year's NACD Northeast Regional Meeting is one you don't want to miss! It is located in world famous Newport, RI,

Conservation is foremost on our minds and meeting dates are full — but not to worry. You can still enjoy the area; we have
negotiated a special discount rate for several days before or after the focal meeting dates. Just ask for extended dates when you make your reservation.
Some of the highlights of the Northeast Meeting include an emphasis on soil health, educational breakout sessions, and
demonstration tours including:
- Aquaculture: Conservation practices on one of New England's original Oyster Farms, owned by Perry Raso. The tour
will also visit his land farm that supports his restaurant.
- Forestry: Enhancing wildlife habitat, managing invasive species, and the Rhode Island Conservation Districts' role in
increasing the enrollment of woodland owners in NRCS Programs.
- Oyster Hatchery and Vineyards: Roger Williams University Oyster Hatchery and Newport Vineyard Conservation
practices.

Everyone will be receiving:
- Government room rate of $158 per night. Last day to book to be able to qualify for this rate is 8/4/14.

Please take advantage of this offer by registering by August 4th. On August 5th any unbooked rooms from our block will be
offered to the general public at the minimum public rate of $309 per night. They will be bought up. This hotel is always fully
booked in the summer and they will have no trouble booking the rooms. If you wait until it gets closer to the event, you will run
into a definite possibility of not getting a room at the Marriott, or anywhere else in Newport.
